Speaking of the Colorado Wranglers, my dad was devestated to hear that the group had broken up. I remember seeing them at the Flying W Ranch as a kid, they were definitely great guys and a lot of fun. I’m sure they will do well in their new adventure. Everytime I go home my dad usually has one of their CDs playing. Small world….

Jeane, you and Chapter (my Maine Coon) would enjoy each other’s company…

About three weeks ago, while we were all at ICRS, a pair housefinches built a nest in one of my beautiful hanging geranium baskets and laid 5 eggs. Irritating, because it meant that I had to stop watering the plant and watch it die. But great, too, because as the couple has brought five new little lives into the world (read: my porch), Chapter has been provided with hours of entertainment.

The little ones hatched, and I flipped out thinking that they’d died since I didn’t see them moving. I called The Boy to come remove the bird remains. But alas, they were just resting. Now they’re learning to fly, and Chapter gives me an earful when I get home about their activity from the day.
