Though I do think it's an oversimplification to say that non-believers don't believe because they hate Jesus or are not Christians because of the lack of embodiment of his teachings from his "followers" or don't believe because they love their sin than more than believing in Jesus Christ as the son of God. Many present a very man-centered theology. However, that is not the only reason people hate Jesus. People hate Jesus when confronted with who He is because of his holiness. Natural man is sinful and loves his sin and he suppresses the truth and is an enemy of Christ. It seems to me that hypocrisy and bad theology usually provide an opportunity for the non-Christian to give excuses for their unbelief rather than actually cause it. “People hate our Jesus because we have made Him into us”

We have been through so much heartache regarding churches in the last few years that my soul is very troubled at the question what about those who don't have a firm foundation and faith that God is not behind the actions of those hurting them? I know how badly it hurts me and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt who my God is and why .... but there are those who are experiencing church for the first time and are seeing the worst possible side of those running the show for the sake of "Christianity".
