A Very Young Bob Wills on YouTube

1

July 27, 2009 by Tyson Wynn

Pardon my blog silence lately. Lots going on; details to follow soon.

For now, I found this great video clip on YouTube. It appears to be only a portion of a program on Bob Wills, and the lip-sync is way off, but it includes some footage I have never seen of a younger and thinner Bob Wills singing “Take Me Back to Tulsa” (including the line about who picks the cotton that is no longer used for obvious reasons). It also has video of a “San Antonio Rose” performance I have seen before; then there are the Texas Playboys (sans Bob) doing a bit of the “Texas Playboys Theme” and “San Antonio Rose.” Enjoy!
